At TriStar Summit, Hobert Suggs' commitment to serving others is evident every day. As our Director of Security, he works tirelessly to support the safety and well-being of our patients, visitors, and colleagues. But his impact extends far beyond our hospital walls.
Recently, Antioch High School football program recognized Suggs, his father, and his uncle for their dedication to giving back to the community. For the past several years, Hobert and his father have volunteered their time to prepare and cater barbecue meals for student-athletes. The opportunity originally came through Hobert's uncle, a Metro Nashville police officer who is involved in the Nashville Police Activity League as well as a coach for the program.
The service that Hobert and his dad provide is more than just a meal —it's about investing in the next generation and supporting a community that helped shape who he is today.
“Nashville is where I grew up, and it's a community that helped shape who I am," said Hobert. "I've always felt a responsibility to give back and support the people who invested in me. Whether it's mentoring students, supporting local programs, volunteering my time, or helping bring people together through food and fellowship, I believe there are many ways to make a difference. When we all find ways to serve, we strengthen our community and create opportunities for the next generation to succeed."
His dedication to service reflects the values we strive to uphold at TriStar Summit and demonstrates the impact one person can have when they choose to invest in others.
Congratulations to Hobert on this well-deserved recognition and for the positive difference he continues to make in the lives of future generations.
