Well… our second Facebook timeout is almost over. 😂🤦‍♀️🫣🤭 This one was a big 6-monther, yet here we are!

And this time, we PROMISE to follow the rules. 😅

Despite Facebook making it a little difficult for us to spread the word through advertisements (and apparently keeping us in the “recommended” social media entity category 😉), you have continued to show up for us.

We’ve stayed busy. We’ve continued to grow. And so much of that growth has come from something we can’t buy with an ad:

💙 Word of mouth
💚 Referrals from our amazing patients
💙 Friends recommending us to their friends and family
💚 Other local professionals, clinics and businesses sending people our way

Honestly, that means SO much to us.

Now that’s one heck of a “Fall Vibes” photo thanks to AI with Buddy & Duke sitting in our waiting room. As much as we’d love to have them here still greeting clients, their excitement is a bit too much for the office 🤣😬!

However, a new month means lots of exciting things happening behind the scenes at Hermon Health & Wellness — and we wanted to bring you along for the ride! 💙💚

✨ A new RN is joining our team SOON!
We’re so excited to welcome a new RN to the clinic soon and continue growing our team and the services we’re able to offer our patients.

💫 Goodbye to Lacey…
We’ll also be saying goodbye to Lacey who has been an independent RN who worked out of our space. We wish her the best in her future endeavors! 🫶

Both providers are staying busy seeing patients, and we’re so thankful for the continued support and trust you place in us. We’re working hard to keep growing while maintaining the personalized care we’re known for.

💧 IV services update:
We’re also continuing to work through compliance requirements and the latest State of Maine regulations so that we can continue offering IV services in a way that is safe, appropriate, and fully compliant. We appreciate your patience as we make sure we’re doing things the RIGHT way. 💙

The more I learn, research, and work with firefighters, the more I realize how important health information simply isn’t making its way into the firehouse.

My goal is to change that—turning the research into practical information firefighters can actually use.

More education. Better conversations. Healthier firefighters.

✨ Why do I need a Good Faith Exam before my aesthetic appointment?

We know it can feel like an extra step—but there is an important reason we require a Good Faith Exam (GFE) before aesthetic services with an RN at our clinic. 💙

Aesthetic treatments such as neuromodulators (tox), fillers, and other medical aesthetic services are medical treatments, not simply cosmetic services. Because of that, Maine has specific requirements surrounding the establishment of a valid medical provider-patient relationship and the safe delivery of medical aesthetic services.

If an RN is providing your treatment, you must have an previously established medical relationship with their qualified medical director so they can evaluate you and determine whether the requested treatment is appropriate for you.

🩺 What happens during the Good Faith Exam?

The medical provider will review things such as:

• Your medical history
• Current medications and allergies
• Relevant medical conditions
• Previous aesthetic treatments and reactions
• Your goals and expectations
• Potential contraindications or safety concerns
• Whether the requested treatment is appropriate for you

This allows us to make an informed medical decision and helps ensure that your treatment is being performed safely and appropriately.

This is not meant to be an unnecessary extra appointment. It is part of practicing medical aesthetics responsibly and maintaining the appropriate provider-patient relationship required for medical treatment.

Once your medical relationship is established and the treatment is deemed appropriate, an RN trained in aesthetics can perform your scheduled treatment as long as it’s within their scope of practice and within our clinic protocols. ✨

We appreciate your understanding as we follow Maine’s requirements and prioritize your safety first. 💙
