Did you know today is ✨National Relaxation Day?✨ It is!

Try this simple exercise for muscle relaxation. Begin by tensing all the muscles in a particular muscle group - for instance, tense every muscle available to you in your face, then slowly relax. Next, move to your neck and shoulders. Tense, relax.

This increases awareness of where the body holds tension and encourages release!

The football hold 🏈 is a wonderful choice! By holding the baby alongside the parent's body and cradling their sweet little head in the same-side hand, the parent can position and correct baby's latch while still getting in those cozy snuggles. The other hand remains free to position the breast - super helpful with a brand new babe! 🥰

NOTE FROM THE DOULA: When nursing my youngest, this was my favorite hold!
