Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent.
It is a time of sacred pause—a moment to remember both our fragility and our hope. The ashes remind us of a hard truth that many in uniform know well: we are not invincible.
We carry wear, grief, loss, and fatigue. We are dust—and life can mark us deeply. But Lent does not end in ashes.
It leads us toward renewal, healing, and resurrection.
For those who serve and have served—our military members, veterans, first responders—Lent invites a different kind of strength:
• the courage to be honest about what we carry
• the humility to receive care
• the faith to believe that restoration is possible
At Ten Ten Life, we walk with those who serve through seasons of struggle and renewal, ministering to them through counseling, connection, and care.
As we enter this Lenten season, may we remember:
God is near to the weary, present in the wilderness, and faithful in the work of renewal. Even from ashes, God is still creating something new.
