A few therapy openings are available! 🤍

As I prepare for maternity leave at the end of September, I have room to welcome a small number of new clients into my practice.

If you begin services with me before my leave, we'll have time to build a strong therapeutic relationship, create a plan, and ensure you're supported while I'm away. I'm committed to making this transition as smooth as possible and to continuing our work together when I return.

Hello! As I approach my one year of opening R&R Counseling Services, I thought it would be the perfect time to reintroduce myself! ✨

I'm Alyx Schimpf, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults navigate life's challenges and create meaningful, lasting change.

My areas of specialization include trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and sexual assault recovery. I utilize evidence-based approaches tailored to each client's unique needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

When working with children, I incorporate play-based interventions to help them express emotions, build coping skills, process difficult experiences, and develop healthy relationships in a way that feels natural and engaging for their developmental level.

I have owned and operated my private practice for nearly a year and have more than four years of experience working with foster children and families through a contracting agency partnered with DCFS. This experience has allowed me to support children, adolescents, and families through trauma, life transitions, behavioral challenges, and complex family dynamics.

My goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to grow.
