Some things I will never learn to treat as routine.
A patient trusting us with their health. A protocol that has to be understood beyond the page. A team depending on one another to catch what could easily be missed. A decision that may seem small in the moment, but can affect everything that comes after it.
Medicine has been part of my world for a long time. Pharmacy was my first professional love and it taught me to look closely at the medicine, the why, the safety, the details that matter. Clinical research taught me to look just as closely at everything surrounding it.
After years in this field, I still feel the weight of that responsibility and I hope I always do.
Because behind the timelines, the data, the visits, the deviations, the endless emails 😅 and all the moving pieces of a study, there is a person who trusted us to do this well.
And I say us intentionally. This work is never one person. I’m grateful for the team beside me, for the different minds and strengths we bring to the table, and for the people I get to build and do this work alongside.
At the end of it all, there is still a patient who trusted us.
That part will always matter to me. 🤍
