MENOPAUSIA Y TERAPIA HORMONAL

Menopause & Hormone Therapy

I want all women to hear this.

If you’ve gone through menopause and you no longer have hormones, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is incredibly important.

When I first started training in the early 1990s, the studies at the time suggested that hormone replacement therapy caused breast cancer. As a result, many women were taken off their hormones. I believe that was one of the biggest mistakes medicine ever made.

I noticed the effects. Women started coming in with urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, osteoporosis, and heart disease.

Fortunately, newer research has challenged many of those earlier beliefs. Today, we know that for many postmenopausal women, hormone replacement therapy can play a very important role in maintaining their health and quality of life.

If this is you, find a gynecologist who specializes in hormone therapy and have a conversation about whether HRT is right for you.

Don’t accept getting older, osteoporosis, heart disease, or urinary incontinence as something you simply have to live with.

When hormone replacement therapy is prescribed and monitored by an experienced physician, it can be a safe and effective option for many women.

Can Peyronie’s disease be fixed?

The answer is yes—in many cases, it can be treated.

The best treatment depends on you. It depends on how much the p***s is curved, whether you have pain, whether your er****ons are still strong, and how much the condition is affecting your s*x life.

Some men do well with injections or traction therapy. Others may need surgery, such as plication or grafting. For some patients, a pe**le implant is the best solution, especially if they also have erectile dysfunction.

The important thing to know is that you have options. You don’t have to accept it as something you just have to live with.

Come see me, and together we’ll find the treatment that’s right for you.

A curved p***s is caused by a disease called Peyronie’s disease.

This happens when scar tissue forms inside the p***s. During an er****on, that scar doesn’t stretch, so when the p***s expands, it basically curves in one direction. Usually, it curves toward the scar.

Some men also notice:
• Pain
• Shortening of the p***s
• S*x becomes difficult
• Or they cannot have s*x at all because of the curve

It’s actually super common.

Ignoring it doesn’t make it less real.

Come and see me, and I can help you through the process.

“Best” Things Men Tell Themselves About ED 👇

“It’s just stress.”

“I’m just tired.”

“Next time will be different.”

“It happens to everyone.”

“I don’t need a doctor.”

If any of these sound familiar, you’re not alone. Many men delay getting help because they’re embarrassed or hope the problem will go away on its own.

The truth is, erectile dysfunction is common—and in many cases, it’s treatable. You don’t have to keep guessing or accept it as a normal part of life.

The hardest step is making the appointment.

It’s not just a surgery. It’s a chance to feel like yourself again.

Every surgery I perform is about more than the procedure itself.

It’s about restoring confidence, rebuilding intimacy, and helping my patients get back to living the life they deserve.

That’s the most rewarding part of my job.

WHEN I FINISH A DAY OF IMPLANT SURGERIES….
I wonder, is this really what I went into urology for?

Long hours of training, many years of training, hours and hours of doing thousands of thousands of cases just to do implants.

And then I remember—it’s not just another surgery.

Behind each implant procedure, there’s a patient, there’s a person, there’s a father, there’s a husband that basically has lost himself.

They can’t basically connect with their partner, and it’s super sad.

And then I see them in the office and their life has recovered, and they’re functioning again.

That’s really what makes things worthwhile.

That’s really what I went for, is to restore lives and to help men resume their activity again and be themselves again.

Why don’t I answer specific questions in DMs?

I understand why people send me medical questions in DMs.

They want a fast answer.
They want to know if something is serious.
Sometimes they are embarrassed to ask in person.

But I cannot safely give specific medical advice through social media.

Medicine does not work like a fortune teller.

I need your medical history.
I need to know your medications.
I may need lab work, imaging, medical records, or a physical exam.

Two patients can describe the same symptoms and have completely different diagnoses.

I am not trying to be difficult.
I am trying to be responsible.

So come see me in person for a real evaluation.
