💙 A Look Back at Meet Us Monday 💙

Over the past several months, our Meet Us Monday posts have given us the opportunity to introduce many of the wonderful people who help make Guardian Angels such a special place.

We have featured staff and volunteers from Dietary, Environmental Services, Management, Continuum Therapy, Nursing, Admissions, Activities, our CNA team, and even our Medical Director!

A heartfelt thank-you to Angie, Bella, Gena, Hastey, Sam, Duriel, Rhonda, Shirley, Sue, Leroy, Penny, Brea, Jaime, Mike, Carie, Alicia, Rachel, Kathy, Donna, Hailey, Dena, Jessica, Natasha, Trista, and Dr. Copeman for allowing us to share a little more about each of you. We are so grateful for the talents, personalities, and compassion you bring to our community every day.

While we are not saying goodbye to Meet Us Monday, we will be slowing down these weekly features so we can begin shining the spotlight on the people who are truly the reason we are here—the residents we are honored to care for. ❤️

🐟 Temporary Fish Home Needed! 🐟

We are looking for a safe, temporary place for our four koi fish and our tank cleaner while their pond undergoes maintenance. Our koi are each over a foot long, so they will need plenty of space!

💙 Meet Us Monday: Meet Gena, Our Amazing Admissions Nurse! 💙

This week, we’re excited to introduce Gena, the friendly and dedicated nurse who helps welcome new residents and families to GAHR!

Gena has a pretty impressive hidden talent—she can solve a Rubik’s Cube in under three minutes! 🧩

When she’s not helping make someone’s day a little better, you can often find her enjoying the outdoors. Snowboarding in Montana is one of her favorite adventures, and she also loves kayaking on our beautiful area lakes.

When asked whether she prefers cooking or baking, Gena laughed and said, “I can follow directions, but I can’t cook!” HelloFresh meals are definitely right up her alley! 🍽️

At home, Gena has one cat named Munchie. A little sunshine, fresh air, and time outside are sure to brighten her day. Her dream job outside of healthcare would be running her own business—although she hasn’t quite decided what kind yet!

This year, Gena hopes to learn how to ride a motorcycle. 🏍️ She is also passionate about disc golf and plays year-round—in leagues, tournaments, winter, nighttime, and just for fun! 🥏

Her ideal workday starts with a stop at Caribou Coffee. ☕

The work that gives Gena the greatest sense of purpose is anything she can do to improve someone else’s life. In five years, she hopes to split her time between continuing to work part-time with the residents at GAHR and working part-time in an emergency room. When asked what drives her to do her best, she shared, “I’m a perfectionist!”

We are so lucky to have Gena’s kindness, energy, and dedication on our team. 💙
