It is with sadness that we join the acupuncture and herbal medicine community in mourning the loss of Dr. Richard C. Niemtzow, a mentor, and beloved leader in the field of medical acupuncture. His groundbreaking work, including the creation of Battlefield Acupuncture, has transformed countless lives and will continue to inspire practitioners and patients around the world.

Dr. Niemtzow's legacy as a clinician, teacher, and advocate for integrative medicine stands as a beacon of innovation and compassion. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, and all who were touched by his kindness.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Money & King Funeral Home, Vienna, VA. Burial at Arlington National Cemetery will follow at a later date.

May his memory be a source of comfort and strength.
