National Cancer Survivor Day is a time to recognize and honor the strength, resilience, and courage of those who have faced cancer.

Behind every survivor is a journey filled with challenges, perseverance, support, and hope. Today, we celebrate those stories and the individuals who continue moving forward with strength each day.

At A Woman’s View, we recognize the importance of compassionate care, support systems, and ongoing wellness throughout every stage of the journey.

With a passion for both the medical and personal side of women’s healthcare, Dr. Claire Harraghy has dedicated her career to supporting patients through every phase of life.

After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, she attended medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed her residency at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. She has been caring for patients in Hickory since 2003.

Dr. Harraghy values the unique relationships built within OB/GYN care and believes that creating trust and comfort is an essential part of supporting women’s health. Her approach focuses on caring for the whole patient while guiding them through both routine and complex aspects of care.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband Charles and their two daughters. She has also proudly served as a Girl Scout leader for several years.
