📍 Congressman Greg Murphy Visits Carolina Wellness Center at Sea Level

Today, representatives from Carteret County and Integrated Care for Greater Health (ICGH) met with Congressman Greg Murphy at Carolina Wellness Center at Sea Level to discuss the growing need for behavioral health, substance use treatment, recovery support, and workforce development services across Eastern North Carolina.

Joining the visit were Carteret County Commissioner Marianne Waldrop, Dr. Randall Williams, Director of Carteret County Health and Human Services, ICGH CEO Dr. Corey Richardson, and ICGH Care Coordinator Catie Hester.

During the tour, attendees discussed the success of the Sea Level campus, which transformed a former community hospital into a 54-bed inpatient behavioral health and addiction treatment facility serving individuals from across North Carolina. The conversation also focused on plans to expand adolescent services, strengthen the behavioral health workforce, enhance recovery support systems, and increase access to care in rural and underserved communities.

We appreciate Congressman Murphy taking the time to visit Sea Level and learn more about the innovative work being done through collaboration between local government, healthcare providers, and community partners to improve the lives of North Carolinians.

Together, we are building stronger pathways to recovery, wellness, and hope.

🎨✨ We’re excited to share that ICGH’s own Samantha Short, CADC-R, NCCPSS, will be one of the featured speakers at the upcoming *Art of Recovery* event in Statesville!

Samantha serves as a Peer Support Specialist and Site Manager for ICGH Statesville and will be sharing her personal recovery journey following the screening of *Expressions of Recovery* — a powerful documentary highlighting stories of healing through creativity, community, and courage.

Her story is one of resilience, hope, and proof that recovery is possible. We are incredibly proud to have Samantha representing ICGH and helping inspire others along their journey. 💙

Hello to all my fellow veterans! My fiancé and I enjoyed speaking with everyone at the IW Jacksonville, NC silkies event on April 11, 2026. As a veteran in recovery myself, we can’t fully talk about veteran su***de without talking about the substance addiction that usually contributes to and leads to su***de. As most of you already know, I’m a North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist. What does that mean? This means I have lived experience with substance addiction and PTSD. I’m proud to be apart of Integrated Care for Greater Health where we offer wrap around services such as: individual and group therapy, SAIOP stands for Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program, SACOT (Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment), MAT - medication assistant treatment, our detox facility is Carolina Wellness Centers - Sea Level at 468 US-70, Sealevel, NC 28577. In addition we offer Day One Recovery Homes which is a safe place for folks to get through their recovery journey. Lastly, we have government grant to assist individuals through their recovery journey if they have no insurance.
