πŸ’œ International Overdose Awareness Day πŸ’œ

Today, we remember the lives lost to overdose, stand beside the families and friends who carry their memory, and support those who are still fighting.

Overdose can affect any person, any family, and any community. Today is also a reminder of why compassion, education, prevention, treatment, and recovery support matter so much.

At The Cognitive Connection, we believe that recovery is possible, every life has value, and no one should have to walk this journey alone.

For 25 years, International Overdose Awareness Day has helped bring this conversation out of the shadows. There is still work to do and every life saved matters.

πŸ’œ Remember without stigma.
πŸ’œ Support without judgment.
πŸ’œ Educate. Prevent. Connect.
πŸ’œ Keep hope alive.

If you or someone you know needs a place to cool off or access free drinking water, there are several locations throughout Catawba County ready to help.

πŸ’§ Water Distribution & Hydration Locations

The Cognitive Connection (929 15th Street NE, Hickory)
Hickory Soup Kitchen

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post. Together, we can help keep our community safe, cool, and hydrated this summer! πŸ’™πŸ’¦
