With summer temperatures climbing, it's important to take care of yourself and check in on those who may be more vulnerable to the heat.
If you or someone you know needs a place to cool off or access free drinking water, there are several locations throughout Catawba County ready to help.

β€οΈ Please remember: Individuals experiencing homelessness and older adults are at a higher risk for heat-related illnesses. A simple check-in with a friend, neighbor, or loved one can make a big difference.
π¨ Know the signs of heat illness: dizziness, nausea, confusion, headache, excessive sweating, or no sweating at all. If someone is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.
