James David Nash was born in Jacksonville, Illinois on September 11,1972 to Clarence Eugene and Georgia Lee Nash. He passed away Saturday, October 17, 2026 in Temple TX at the age of 54.

James is survived by his wife of 33 years, Diana (Duke) Nash. Children, Rachel Garza, and husband John of Bedford, TX, Caleb Nash and wife Srey of Stephenville, TX, David Nash of Odessa, TX, and Zachary Nash and wife Lila of Stephenville, TX. Grandchildren, Jack, Magnolia, and Charlie Garza. Brother, Rodney Nash of Springfield ,IL, and sister Stephanie Krempasky and husband Bob of Jacksonville, IL.

He was preceded in death by a brother Mike Nash, and both his mother and father.

Jim, (or James David, as his Mother would call him) grew up and went to school in a small town, White Hall, IL, where his dad was the local sheriff for years. Jim graduated from North Greene High School in White Hall in 1990. Jim was the state champion discus thrower his senior year and an “All-American” athlete. An athletic scholarship to then Southwest Texas State University brought him to Texas. Two years later he met Diana who joined the SWT track team in 1992. In his words, as he would laugh, “she chased him down,” and they married in 1993.

After they married, Jim and Diana moved to Austin and Jim attended the Southwest School of Bible Studies. He graduated from SWSBS in 1995 and began his journey preaching for churches of Christ across Texas and Southern Oklahoma. Jim and Diana...

Most airlines allow cremated remains on board as carry-on or checked baggage, but the container holding the remains must pass through the x-ray machine or it will not be allowed through security. Cremated remains can also be air-shipped as cargo but only by "known shippers." In addition, to transport remains on an airplane you must provide a death or cremation certificate for the cremated remains in order to carry them on board.

Some people leave footprints on your heart. Esther Mae Murphy left her whole heart with everyone she loved.

On October 13, 2026, at the age of 66, the world lost a woman who was truly one of a kind. Esther Mae Murphy, known lovingly as “Mae Mae” to just about everyone and “MiMi” to her precious grandchildren, was a mother, grandmother, protector, caregiver, and a force to be reckoned with. She was beautiful inside and out, with a heart big enough to love the whole world and a spirit fierce enough to take it on.

Mae Mae was the kindest person you could ever hope to meet. She could also be the meanest when the situation called for it, and anyone who knew her would tell you that both sides of her came from the same place: a heart that loved fiercely. She was loving, ornery, stubborn, sometimes a little reckless, and completely unapologetic about standing up for the people she cared about.

If Mae Mae decided you were hers, well, that was that. You were hers. No questions asked. No conditions attached. It didn’t matter whether you were family by blood, by marriage, or simply someone who crossed her path and needed a place to belong. Once she claimed you, you had someone in your corner for life.

She never wanted anyone to feel unwanted, unloved, or forgotten. She had a way of making people feel like they mattered, because to her, they truly did. Her door, her arms, and her heart were always open. She gave even when she had little left to give,...

Is Cremation the right choice for you? Consider these when making a decision:
1) Cremation opens up more options, not less. When you choose cremation, you can still choose service and celebration of life options. You get to decide how cremated remains are dispersed: scattering, urn placement, burial and more.
2) Cremation is a permanent decision. It’s best to think through this decision, and be sure it discuss it with your loved ones.
3) Some religions and denominations have different views on cremation as a final disposition. If a religious funeral is a priority for you, make sure you know your religion’s stance on cremation.
4) Cremation is still a relatively new choice and therefore concerns arise regarding respect of the body and respect for cremated remains. It’s important to note that only the highest standards exist for cremation, just like burial.
