October is Depression Awareness Monthđź’š
Depression is more than just feeling sad. It can affect how we think, feel, connect with others, and navigate everyday life. Sometimes, it looks like persistent exhaustion, loss of interest in things you once enjoyed, feeling disconnected, or struggling to find motivation.
This month is a reminder to check in on the people you love, even the ones who seem fine. To speak a little more openly about mental health, listen without judgment, and remind those who may be struggling that they never have to suffer in silence. You never know what someone may be experiencing beneath the surface.
Whether you are navigating depression yourself or supporting someone you care about, remember that you are not alone, and seeking support is a sign of strength. Reaching out to a mental health professional or a national organization, such as the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, can be an important first step toward getting support.
At Intention Path Counseling, we believe healing begins with understanding, compassion, and connection. đź’š
