Thurs, 4:30 pm: Stretch, Strengthen and Unwind
Sat, 11:30 am: Yinasana
Sun,11:30 am: Active Flexibility
Sun, 3 pm: Yin Flow and Self-Care
Sun, June 21: Special moon salutations in both classes
The heart of summer, June is a big month for yoga. The International Day of Yoga falls on the summer solstice, traditionally celebrated with sun salutations malas. As well as being Father’s Day this year, and the year’s longest day, the solstice marks the ingress to the zodiacal sign of Cancer, the crab.
The month’s focus: Water sign poses!
Cancer is a water sign, as are Scorpio and Pisces. Summer is beach, lakeside, and pool time, and we step up the hydration. We're more aware of water. Let's splash around with yoga poses such as fish, crab, locust, turtle, frog, and more!
Plus for both classes on Sun, June 21, we'll practice moon salutations. Cancer is ruled by the moon, and it will be a nice complement to the day's traditional sun salutations. Move through the yang of 108 sun salutations, then chill out with the yin flow of moon salutations!
