On June 17, 2015, a gunman walked into Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston and opened fire, tragically killing nine church worshippers at bible study.

Michael J. Fox has a sober date of 1992. He quit drinking for good after his wife, Tracy Pollan, confronted him about his struggle with alcoholism—which had worsened significantly following his young-onset Parkinson's disease diagnosis.He has credited Pollan with helping him recognize his destructive behavior and reclaim his life. By choosing to tackle his addiction, Fox found the clarity needed to confront his Parkinson's diagnosis head-on.
