Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-Assistant) – High Point, NC

Express Communication Therapy is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-Assistant) to join our growing private practice serving children in the High Point, NC area.

Preferred Qualifications

* Active North Carolina SLP-Assistant registration/license number ready to provide
* Experience working with pediatric clients
* Spanish-speaking skills preferred
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Ability to travel within the High Point area

Please Note: Applicants must already meet North Carolina SLP-Assistant requirements. At this time, we are unable to provide supervision or support for completing clinical hours required for SLP-Assistant registration or licensure.

Position Responsibilities

* Provide speech therapy services to children ages 2–10 years old
* Deliver therapy in daycare settings, homes, and our new office location
* Follow treatment plans developed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
* Complete required documentation and communication with families and team members

Compensation

* Competitive pay based on experience

Today’s session focused on building more than towers—we built communication skills! Through block construction, our little learners practiced following directions, requesting materials, describing colors, and using problem-solving skills.

Play-based therapy creates meaningful opportunities for language growth while keeping learning fun and engaging.

During today’s session, we practiced answering questions and using complete sentences to talk about personal experiences. While playing, we encouraged language such as:

🗣️ “I picked the bear.”
🗣️ “The spinner landed on number 2.”
🗣️ “I touched the soft one.”
🗣️ “I want another turn.”
🗣️ “I am playing with the game.”
🗣️ “It feels squishy.”
🗣️ “I like this one.”

Activities like this help children improve:
✨ expressive language
✨ answering WH-questions
✨ describing actions
✨ turn-taking
✨ vocabulary and sentence building
