Magnolia Birth Doula Services I am an experienced, certified doula in the St. Louis area. As a birth doula, I work with expecting families to help them prepare for their ideal birth.

I provide information as well as physical and emotional support to help ensure that the birth space is conducive to the new family's ideal birth. I view birth as one of the most holy & blessed events that people partake in and I want to help make your birth truly your own!

What a beautiful day to have a baby!
This first time mama came to me wanting as little intervention as possible for her planned hospital birth.
She prepared so well. And patiently awaited for her baby to choose their own birthday.
Despite challenges, including a stalled labor & supposed big baby, she persevered. And while her unique birth story required her to pivot a bit she achieved a powerful vaginal birth.
I’m so proud of the hard work & sacrifice she put into meeting her baby💕

Today was a beautifully unexpected day to meet a baby!
I started it out with a prenatal. Then an interview. And what I thought would be a pop in to a client who was contracting somewhat with a baby in a funky position. We did side lying release. And I ended up helping them catch their baby less than two hours later, minutes before midwives made it😯
It was a beautiful water birth at home. A very redemptive planned homebirth after two medicated hospital births in which she did not feel supported.
I’m so glad I got to witness such a beautiful birth💕

Today’s birth was unexpected in many ways!
1. I didn’t foresee meeting this little one for a bit.
2. This mama’s labor flew despite it being his first birth.
3. Just an hour after contractions started out intensely I was asked to come & I walked into baby being born!

Birth constantly proves that we may know a lot about it but that doesn’t mean we can predict what will happen at every single birth. This mama did great handling all the uncertainty & intensity that comes with a precipitous birth💕

What a refreshing birth!
First off, this baby was considerate & let everyone sleep all night😂
Second, this is his mama’s 4th birth, 2nd planned unmedicated but first where she wasn’t induced! All other babies were induced at 41 weeks exact but this mama wanted something different this time & waited for spontaneous labor to begin despite being 41 weeks+6 days!
Third, this mama received the most consistent natural birth friendly care I’ve witnessed in a hospital in a long time. The nurse that checked her in asked her if she wanted a tub room. And both her & her nurse literally respected everything listed on her birth plan, asked for consent 100% of the time before doing anything, & provided her with space & a peaceful presence. While her doc wasn’t on call she was provided with the most pleasant OB I’ve experienced. One who had all unmedicated births herself. She had lots of helpful tips for pushing, loads of reassurance, & respected all of her choices. Even encouraged a breast crawl!
What a blessing it was to witness such an amazing birthday💕

It was such an honor working with this family. This mamas was determined to get the birth she knew was healthiest & safest for her baby. So much so she switched providers after her current one no longer fit the bill! And it was a good thing but that provider was so supportive & reassuring while helping her navigate some trickier stuff towards the end. This mama went into her birth confident & well prepared & crushed it! And I’m so happy I got to be there to witness all of that strength!
This job is such a blessing & families like this make it even more so💕

And while I was with my other client Natalie Sterling came to the rescue again & helped this first time mama achieve her unmedicated hospital birth!
This mama’s birth came on powerful & strong. And yet she did it!
I was thankful it worked out that I could be there for the last two hours of her labor. This client was lucky enough to have two doulas serve her!
I was soooo proud of this client💕
