On September 19, 2024, I provided an all day workshop, “Public Speaking: Effective Skills for Libraries” to the Northeast Ohio Regional Library System (NEO-RLS) at the Twinsburg Public Library. It was such a delight to speak to this group! All my life, I loved libraries and to have an opportunity to provide professional development to librarians and library staff was such an honor! This audience was so engaging and appreciative of the information shared!
Throughout this workshop, I shared my “overcomer mindset” tips in order to visualize Public Speaking in a NEW light. As a kid who stuttered, I couldn’t imagine being an “overcomer” and using my experience with stuttering to help others be confident communicators! This is certainly a dream come true!
