I think this is a great piece (it references a Christian god, but can really be extrapolated to any concept of god). I’ve had several conversations with people about all troubles in the world and wanting to fix them. It is not possible to fix all the problems in the word, nor is it possible to worry about them. It’s exhausting and overwhelming to think and worry about everything in the world. It is more important to what you can, where you can. I actively choose to not keep up with world news or politics because it is so stressful and sad at time. Instead, I focus my efforts and donations to my local community, donating to a couple charities, being on an executive board and advocating for mental health awareness and accessibility to affordable services. Just because I don’t actively talk about or worry about various issues doesn’t mean I don’t care. It means I choose to take care of my mental health and sanity and only focus on a few manageable things. I hope this article helps you realize and do the same.
