POV: You work with kids, so sitting in an actual chair is basically a luxury. Between crawling, squatting, kneeling, modeling, and getting off the floor all day, our backs are TIRED. 😭 But seeing our kiddos grow and thrive makes it all worth it!

You may notice something a little different about A Sense of Autism! ✨ Our puzzle-piece heart has been part of our journey and will always represent an important chapter in our story. As we continue to grow, we felt it was time for our logo to grow with us. Today, we’re excited to introduce our new logo! 💙💚💛❤️ Every color in our heart is strong and beautiful on its own, representing individuality, independence, and the unique strengths that make every person who they are. As the colors come together to form one heart, they represent the beauty of our differences coming together. All valued, all belonging, and all part of something greater. 💙💚💛❤️ Our look may be changing, but our heart, our mission, and our commitment to the children and families we serve remain the same. 💙 Thank you to every family, team member, and community partner who has been part of our journey. At the 2026 Autism Hero Walk: Detroit, the Autism Alliance of Michigan is thrilled to be partnering with A Sense of Autism to offer a one-of-a-kind, family-friendly Scavenger Hunt!

Hero Walk attendees that participate in the Scavenger Hunt can look forward to following clues, visiting designated locations throughout the Detroit Zoo, and collecting stickers to complete their Scavenger Hunt card.
And along that Scavenger Hunt adventure, attendees will be guided to the numerous sensory-friendly and quiet areas the Zoo has to offer, allowing you to take breaks and set your own clue-gathering pace.
