Introducing Accessible / Chair Yoga ✨

Yoga is for every body.

Our Accessible / Chair Yoga class is designed to make the benefits of yoga available to everyone, regardless of age, mobility level, injury history, or experience. Using a chair for support, we’ll move through gentle stretches, strengthening exercises, and mindful breathing practices that help improve flexibility, balance, mobility, and overall well-being.

Whether you’re recovering from an injury, looking for a lower-impact practice, managing chronic pain, or simply want a supportive place to move your body, this class meets you exactly where you are.

You don’t need to be flexible. You don’t need to get up and down from the floor. You just need to show up. Can’t wait to see you on Wednesdays at 8:30 AM💛

This guided stretch and recovery class is designed to help you move better, feel better, and stay active doing the things you love. Each session focuses on improving flexibility, increasing mobility, reducing tension, supporting recovery, and helping prevent injury through intentional stretching.

And despite the name, you don’t have to be a competitive athlete to benefit.

Do you lift weights? Run? Walk regularly? Work a physically demanding job? Spend hours sitting at a desk? Chase kids or grandkids around all day?

Grab your neon, dust off those leg warmers, and join Cathy for an evening of movement, music, and fun. This themed heated vinyasa class is all about letting go, having fun, and not taking yourself too seriously. Expect great music, lots of laughs, and a workout that will leave you feeling energized.

I wrote this for anyone who feels like they always “start over” in the fall.






Summer can feel like a reset — but not always in the way we want.

Schedules change, routines fall off, kids are home, vacations come up, and before you know it, the habits that made you feel good start to disappear.

If you’ve ever found yourself saying, “I’ll get back into it in the fall,” you’re not alone.

But what if this summer felt different?

At Balanced Wellness, we believe consistency doesn’t have to mean doing more. It just means having a place you can come back to — even when life feels busy.

Our yoga and Pilates classes in Highland, IL are designed to support you through real life.

These evenings are designed to help you release the stress of the week, settle into the present moment, and create space for yourself before a new week begins. Through guided meditation and sound healing, you'll be invited to simply slow down, breathe deeply, and receive.

Moms... before summer gets away from you, can I encourage you to put a few things on YOUR calendar too?

The kids are home, which is a great change of pace from the hectic school routines....

But remember....

You can’t pour from an empty cup all summer long.

Chauffeur...Chef....Referee....Caretaker....Maid...

We take on a lot.

That’s why we’ve created several special classes and experiences this season—not because yoga is trendy or because sound healing “feels nice,” but because you deserve moments where you’re not needed by anyone for an hour.

Breakdown of our 2 classes that we offer on Thursdays!

6:00pm-HEATED VINYASA FLOW
Perfect if you need an energy boost, you don’t mind breaking a sweat, you love to move your body to release stress, and you are familiar with yoga movements/not scared to jump in and try a class.

7:15pm-EVENING RESET
This class is perfect if you are in need of a pause from life and to clear your mind. Slower movements and longer yoga holds help to release tension and pain from your body. This class is perfect for all levels.
