A new PT at Physio Room means you get to benefit with 25% off packages through the month of June! Dr. Emily is an amazing new addition to our team. Get to know her below 👇

Emily is a dedicated physical therapist with a passion for providing holistic care that treats each individual as a whole person- mind and body.

She earned her undergraduate degree in Anatomy and Kinesiology from the University of New Orleans before completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Regis University. She is dry needling certified and enjoys integrating evidence-based treatment with wellness-focused approaches to help patients optimize recovery, athletic performance, and injury prevention.

Emily is committed to helping her patients move beyond what they once believed they were physically and mentally capable of achieving.

Her love for movement and sport began early through years of dancing, gymnastics, cheerleading, and cross-country running. Throughout her athletic journey, Emily experienced her own injuries that went mistreated, giving her firsthand insight into the limitations and emotional impact that pain and injury can have on daily life. These experiences shaped her appreciation for the body’s resilience and potential, inspiring her passion to help others feel empowered throughout their journey.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys hiking, skiing, running, weightlifting, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Pilates, teaching Lagree group fitness classes, and spending time with her adopted puppy, Goose.

😴 Sleep isn’t a luxury you negotiate with. It’s the biological foundation every other health habit is built on, and most people are getting far less of it than they think.

Here’s a question worth sitting with: if you went to bed at 10 and woke up at 6, did you actually get eight hours of sleep? Probably not. Time in bed and time asleep are not the same thing, and that gap is where most people are quietly losing ground.

Injuries happen! If you’re an active individual then you already know this. As much as we’d all love to avoid them that’s just not always the case.

That’s okay!

The key is knowing how to handle that injury when it does happen.

Whether it’s something minor like tweaking your shoulder at CrossFit or something major like getting full blown ACL surgery on your knee.. you can and should be finding ways to stay active and building strength. Even if it’s only on the opposite side your injury occurred.

By doing so, you allow for a better and faster recovery process.
