Congratulations to Scott Roberts, Maintenance Director at Graham County Hospital, for being selected as our June 2026 Employee of the Month! ๐Ÿ‘

Scott, who has been a valued member of the GCH team since 2019, was nominated by a peer in the nursing department for his willingness to step in and help during an early morning weekend code in the Emergency Room.

Without hesitation, Scott jumped into action and assisted the nursing staff by performing chest compressions, allowing caregivers to focus on other critical patient care needs during a high-stress situation. His quick response, teamwork, and calm presence exemplify the dedication and compassion that make Graham County Hospital a special place.

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œScott quickly jumped in during a high stress time to help nursing staff so they could focus on other patient cares. Thank you, Scott!! โ€“ Peer Nominator

๐Ÿ’ฌ "If youโ€™ve ever wondered what keeps things moving around here, thereโ€™s a good chance Scott is a part of it. He's constantly fixing something, moving something, finding something, or wondering why someone put it there in the first place. Whether heโ€™s tackling a project, lending a hand, solving a problem, or responding to an unexpected need, Scott is always on the move and ready to help wherever he is needed. His dedication and willingness to jump in without hesitation play an important role in our ability to provide quality care to our community. What makes Scott especially deserving of this recognition is not just his work ethic, but who he is as a person. He is genuine, dependable, and authentic, someone who consistently shows up for his coworkers and our patients. His positive attitude and commitment do not go unnoticed. We are grateful to have Scott on our team.โ€ โ€“ Supervisor

Thank you, Scott, for your commitment, teamwork, and the many ways you make a difference at GCH!

Did you know that the American Academy of Family Physicians recommends that sport physicals be performed in the athleteโ€™s primary care clinic rather than in a group setting?

โœ… Privacy & Comfort
Your child is seen in a private exam room, allowing families to discuss health concerns openly and confidentially.
โœ… A More Comprehensive Visit
Unlike many quick physical events, our clinic can provide a complete evaluation and address your child's overall health and development.
โœ… Opportunity for a Well Child Visit
Many children miss their annual Well Child Visit. Scheduling a physical gives families the chance to stay up to date on preventive care, growth monitoring, immunizations (Graham County Health Department will be onsite 6/10 & 7/15), and important health screenings.
โœ… Time to Ask Questions
Whether it's nutrition, sports participation, mental health, sleep, or other concerns, our providers are here to help.

Summer is the perfect time to make sure your child is healthy, prepared, and ready for a successful 2026-2027 school year. Call 785-421-2191 today to schedule your child's school or sports physical!
