🍑 Chef's Circle: Summer Peach Caprese Salad 🍑

Today's Chef's Circle featured a refreshing Summer Peach Caprese Salad, a seasonal twist on the classic Italian favorite!
With our salad bar temporarily paused due to the ongoing Cyclospora (Cyclosporiasis) precautions affecting leafy greens, we wanted to continue offering our residents fresh, flavorful experiences. Instead of the traditional tomato and basil salad, we showcased sweet, juicy summer peaches paired with creamy fresh mozzarella, fragrant basil, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, and balsamic glaze.
During the demonstration, residents learned about the origins of the classic Caprese salad, the nutritional benefits of peaches, and how simple, seasonal ingredients can come together to create something truly delicious.

The smiles around the room said it all, our residents loved tasting this refreshing summer dish! Thank you to everyone who joined us for another fun and flavorful Chef's Circle. ❤️👨‍🍳🍑

There is something truly special about seeing our Legacy Lane residents continue doing the things they have always loved. ❤️🌼

Our sweet resident, Frances, absolutely loves working in the garden. Whether she's tending to the flowers, checking on the plants, or simply enjoying the fresh air, you can see the joy and sense of purpose it brings her.

Keeping our residents involved in meaningful activities like gardening is so important. It helps preserve their independence, encourages physical activity, stimulates memories, and gives them a sense of accomplishment and belonging. These moments aren't just about growing flowers—they're about nurturing the spirit, creating purpose, and celebrating who our residents are.

At Legacy Lane, we believe every resident has gifts, talents, and passions worth honoring. Watching Frances do what she loves reminds us that meaningful engagement can brighten a day, spark memories, and bring smiles to everyone around her.
