The Hillsboro Health Junior Board met last week, and we had a bittersweet goodbye for graduate Owen Trader. Owen has been a dedicated member since joining the board, and is truly a wonderful role model for the group. We wish him all the best for his next chapter! The group also put their problem-solving skills to work with some team activities. Notice a bright, refreshed Cloud Room that has received a new paint, flooring, furniture and a/v during our construction!

💦☀️🍉 SUMMER means CATCH Camp fun for our the littles! Our friends at Hillsboro Health Fitness & Aquatics hosted a group of K-2nd grade kids who learned about healthy activities, including swimming, dancing, fruit and veggie bingo and other fun crafts! They had a ball! Thank you to Mrs. Brown and her amazing team for their hard work making this a special camp for kids.

Congratulations, Kylie!

🙂Here is some news we can all celebrate! Kylie Kirby has been promoted to director of Fitness & Aquatics at Hillsboro Health, where she has been a key team member since 2021. As fitness manager, Kylie led daily facility operations, developed promotional and wellness initiatives and supported the overall success of the facility. Since November 2025, she has served as interim director, providing steady leadership and continuity for the team.

Kylie is a familiar and friendly presence in the facility, known for her positive attitude and constant smile. Her approachable style and commitment to both members and staff have made her a trusted leader, and many are excited to see her step into this role.
Kylie began her career with Hillsboro Health in 2014 as an emergency department tech/CNA before moving into purchasing in 2016, where she managed procurement, vendor relationships and inventory systems. Combined with her prior experience working in gyms, she brings a unique blend of healthcare and fitness knowledge to her role.

In her new position, Kylie is excited to continue developing community-focused wellness programs and enhancing the member experience while helping grow memberships at Hillsboro Health Fitness & Aquatics.

❗️🧱❗️Last call on the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy at the hospital's main entrance! Our engraved brick and paver campaign ends Friday, June 5. These memorial bricks and pavers will be installed near the front entrance of the Hillsboro Health main hospital upon completion of our renovation this fall. Your personalized brick will become a permanent part of our campus, honoring your family, remembering a loved one or recognizing a business or organization.

Bricks and pavers are available in multiple sizes and donation levels, making it easy to participate in a meaningful way. Your contribution helps strengthen healthcare in our community for generations to come.
