Yep

When you're hacking away at something you don't love, give your brain a time limit to work with. "I'll run for thirty more seconds." "I'll clean for 15 minutes."

Our brain will often endure a hassle if there's an end or a break in sight— but will shut down if there isn't.

🎵 A simple hum can go a long way.

Humming may help activate your body's relaxation response, ease stress, and promote a sense of calm. It's one of the accessible practices that complement the breathing and resilience techniques we teach in our SKY Resilience workshops.

Healing is a "both-and", not an "either-or" situation. You can have days that you are activated with moments of pride, connection to others, and joy. You often have to look for or, better yet, CREATE those moments, but it's possible.

What can 1 minute of breath work do? The image on the left was taken while I was reading emails (some of which are stress inducing). After ONLY 1 MINUTE of 5-second in/out breaths, look at the difference on the right.

I practice this with first responders, letting them see their before/after charts. It truly changes the "woo woo" of breath work to "whoah!" You CAN make a difference with short breathing resets. Do you have a minute in your day, here and there, to make difference?
