Your morning routine might be more important than you think☀️

If you’re struggling with sleep, low energy, waking up during the night, or feeling like your body clock is completely out of sync, it may be time to pay attention to your circadian rhythm.

Your circadian rhythm is your body’s internal 24-hour clock that helps regulate sleep, wakefulness, hormones, metabolism, and other important processes.

One of the simplest ways to support it? Get natural morning light. 🌅

Morning light helps signal to your brain that it’s time to be awake and helps anchor your body’s sleep-wake cycle. That timing also influences the release of melatonin later in the day, helping your body recognize when it’s time to wind down and sleep.

And during perimenopause, menopause, and midlife, when sleep and energy can already feel different, supporting your daily rhythms can be one more piece of the bigger wellness picture🧩

📌Small daily habits can make a meaningful difference over time.

Let's clean up some blood sugar nonsense.

"Skip breakfast to burn belly fat."
"Carbs are the enemy."
"Eat every 2–3 hours." (this one does have its place... depending on the amount of muscle you have...more muscle, higher RMR, therefor3e more need for fuel/food...)

Some of you have been doing ALL of these at once… and the waist measurement hasn't moved.

That's not you failing. That's the advice failing you.

Here's the pattern underneath every myth on this graphic:
It's not just WHAT you eat. It's WHEN, in what ORDER, and how much VARIETY.

Protein early. Veggies before carbs. Real meals, hours apart. Thirty different plants a week.
None of it costs money. All of it moves insulin.

And the smoothie one…. I know. I'm sorry. Cold, sweet, blended fruit at 7am is a Damp-producing insult to your Spleen (TCM has been side-eyeing your smoothie for centuries). I will die on this hill... Smoothies are NOT your morning breakfast friend. That is, if you want to gain better digestive fire in the belly....

Which myth were you living by? Tell me in the comments. No judgment. I've done most of them.

Save it and pick one fact to act on this week.

Same calories. Same women. Timing did the work.

93 overweight women with metabolic syndrome (the belly-fat, high-insulin picture).

1,400 calories a day. Every single one of them.

12 weeks.

The ONLY difference: which meal was the big one.

Big breakfast group: lost 17.8 lbs and 3 inches off the waist. Triglycerides down 34%.

Big dinner group: lost 7.3 lbs and 1.4 inches. Triglycerides went UP 15%… on a diet.

Same food. Same effort. Less than half the result… because it landed at the wrong time of day.

The big-breakfast women also had lower fasting glucose, lower insulin, a lower insulin resistance score, smaller spikes after meals, and less ghrelin (the hunger hormone).

They were LESS hungry. On the same calories.

This is why I won't let you "just eat less."

Your body doesn't run on a calculator. It runs on a clock.

TCM figured that out 2,000 years ago. Breakfast like a King, dinner like a pauper.

Move your biggest meal to the morning this week and tell me what happens.

Now the part nobody posts about…..

A study can tell you what worked for 93 women. It cannot tell you what will work for YOU on a Tuesday, with your schedule, your cravings, your 2am wake-ups and your very specific body.

That's the gap I fill.

When we work together 1:1, I don't hand you a generic meal plan. We go all the way down to your genetic code… your genes, your labs, your history, what's actually in your fridge… and build something that fits YOU and nobody else.

And then (this is the part that matters) I stay with you. Week after week, I coach you through the changes one at a time, so the science stops being something you know and becomes something you just DO.

If you have done everything "right" and the tape measure still isn't moving… let's talk.

Schedule a discovery call, link in bio. A real conversation about what your body has been trying to tell you.

Please keep me in your thoughts… 🤍
Not because anything is wrong, but because I want you to think of me when you’re in the thick of midlife and wondering, “Is this just how it’s going to be now?”

When the sleepless nights, changing body, shifting hormones, brain fog, mood changes, and loss of confidence make it feel like you’ve somehow lost the woman you used to be…

You haven’t.

You’re becoming her in a different way🌱

There’s a beautiful concept called “Second Spring”…the idea that the years after menopause can be a new season of life. A time to reconnect with yourself, your strength, your purpose, your energy, and the things that make you feel alive.

Menopause isn’t the end of your best years.

It can be the beginning of a season that is even more intentional, empowered, and authentically YOU.

So when midlife feels heavy, remember this:
✨ This is a chapter—not the whole story.
✨ Your body is changing, but it is not failing you.
✨ There is still so much life ahead.
✨ And your Second Spring may just become your best season yet. 🌸

If you’re struggling right now, save this for the day you need the reminder. And send it to a woman who needs to hear that it’s definitely not the end.💜

Muscle is about so much more than how you look💪🏼✨

As we move through midlife, maintaining muscle becomes an important part of supporting metabolic health, blood sugar regulation, bone health, mobility, strength, and longevity.

And yet, muscle loss can happen gradually—often before we even notice it.

That’s why strength training, adequate protein, recovery, and understanding your individual nutritional needs matter. Your goal doesn’t have to be “smaller.” It can be stronger, more resilient, and healthier for the years ahead. 🤍

If you’ve been feeling like your body is changing and you’re not sure what it needs, start by getting curious—not critical.

✨ Take my FREE 5-minute Body Read Assessment to gain insight into what your body may be communicating and what areas may deserve more attention.

Your midlife body isn’t working against you. It’s asking you to pay attention.

Breakfast like a King.

Not in the "pancakes and a mimosa" way or a Burger fast food way.

In the TCM way.

Stomach time is 7–9am on the organ clock.
That's when your digestive fire is HIGHEST.

Modern science says the same thing in different words: insulin sensitivity peaks early in the day.

So what do most of us do?

Coffee. Nothing. Maybe a smoothie. Then a giant dinner at 8pm.

Backwards. Completely backwards. No bueno backwards. (whether you like it or not).

For the women with a waist over half their height… this is your biggest lever:

30–40g of protein within an hour of waking.

Before the coffee wins.

Six ways to actually do it are in the graphic. Leftovers count. Poke counts. Zero cooking counts.

And if you read those and thought "I could never eat that much in the morning"…..
Heavy after protein?
Bloated?
A little nauseous?

That's not a willpower problem. That's usually a GUT that isn't breaking protein down.

Low stomach acid, sluggish enzymes. No amount of "just eat more" fixes that.

That is exactly what my 6-month Foundational Reset is built for.

Save this one. Pick a breakfast. Start tomorrow.

Protein maxing: because “eating healthy” isn’t the full equation 💪🏼

As we move through midlife and menopause, protecting muscle becomes increasingly important, and getting enough protein is a key part of the equation.

Instead of simply asking, “Am I eating healthy?” start asking:

✨ Am I getting enough protein?
✨ Am I hitting my daily calorie and macro goals?
✨ Am I eating enough to support my workouts?
✨ Am I prioritizing protein throughout the day?

Protein helps support muscle repair, recovery, and maintenance, especially when paired with consistent strength training.

And no…. you don’t have to eat chicken and protein shakes all day. 😂 The goal is to find realistic ways to build more protein into the foods you already enjoy.

Think: protein first, balanced meals, consistent macros, and strength training.

Because in midlife, we’re not just chasing a number on the scale, we’re working toward strength, muscle, energy, and long-term health💪🤍

Ok, Ok... I said October 3rd was going to be a Detox Workshop - I lied... no, I changed my mind. And as a healthy menopausal woman in right mind, I get to!

I have a VERY busy Fall schedule due to travel and doing a procedure (PRP) on my hip over the course of 6 weeks, starting Mid November...

So in the land of how we humans flow; I decided focusing on SLEEP as we enter the darker months was wise and then focus on DETOX after all of the holiday insanity.

And in-between those two; 2 things happen:

1. I will ofer a free Gua Sha/TCM Skin vitality care workshop
2. AND I will focus on healing my hip.

All events are linked up above in the Events Tab inside the Grit and Grace Community...

My momentum is finally finding its groove and I am here for it! 2027 is going to be AMAZING!!

We will all get stronger and healthier TOGETHER!!!
