Today we honor Juneteenth. A day of hard-won freedom and ongoing resilience.

We also take this moment to acknowledge something real: mental health and substance use care has not always been equally accessible. Systemic barriers including cost, culture, stigma, and historic mistrust have left communities underserved for too long.

At NEMG, we are committed to care that is welcoming, culturally responsive, and accessible to everyone — regardless of background, identity, or circumstance.

The "tough it out" mentality isn't strength. It's a barrier that keeps people from healing. Men account for nearly 80% of su***de deaths in the U.S. The silence is costing lives. At NEMG, we treat the whole person, including the parts that have been told to stay quiet.

You don't have to heal alone, and that's kind of the point. Group therapy is one of the most powerful tools in behavioral health treatment. Sitting with others who genuinely understand what you're going through, not just theoretically, but from lived experience, can break the isolation that fuels so much of mental health and substance use struggles.

At NEMG, our group sessions are facilitated by licensed clinicians and are a core part of both our PHP and IOP programs. Evidence-based. Confidential. And often, the part people say changed everything.
