✨️Why I teach Yin Yoga?✨️
We are living in a constant state of doing.
Rushing. Achieving. Performing. Our nervous systems rarely get a chance to truly rest - and most of us have forgotten what stillness even feels like.
That's exactly why I teach Yin Yoga.
Yin isn't just stretching. It's deep nourishment for the body's connective tissues - the fascia, the ligaments, the joints that dynamic movement can't reach. Each pose is held for 3–5 minutes, creating space from the inside out.
And in that stillness? Something shifts.
Those long, passive holds gently activate the parasympathetic nervous system - your body's rest and repair mode. The place where real healing begins. It's not the kind that comes from pushing harder, but the kind that comes from finally letting go.
Because here's what we don't talk about enough - we store tension in the body. We store emotions, patterns, and stories. Yin creates the space to release what you've been holding onto. Quietly. Gently. Profoundly.
I teach this practice because I needed it myself - it saved me in the pandemic. Yin Yoga was what taught me to slow down, to reconnect, to truly listen to my body again. That transformation changed everything for me - and it's what I want to share with you.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, depleted, or disconnected - your nervous system is asking for this.
Nourishment over punishment. Always. ❤️
Yin Yoga is a magical practice, and I offer regular classes in Newbury, Highclere, Wasing, and Beedon in Berkshire.
Sending love,
