If you’re eating blueberries for brain health, there’s another berry you should know about. 🫐

Meet Aronia, also known as the chokeberry. This deeply purple berry is exceptionally rich in polyphenols, including anthocyanins, the plant compounds responsible for much of its dark pigmentation.

Why does this matter for your brain?

Anthocyanins are being studied for their potential to support cognitive health by influencing oxidative stress, inflammation, and cellular signaling pathways involved in healthy brain aging.

While blueberries have a larger body of human research behind their cognitive benefits, Aronia is an emerging area of interest because of its impressive polyphenol profile.

A little reminder that some of the most interesting foods for longevity might be the ones that come from the ground.

Follow along for more on the science of nutrition, brain health, and healthy aging. 💜

Your new purple addiction. 💜

Adding more anthocyanin-rich berries to our daily routine.

Why? 🧠 Anthocyanins are the plant compounds that give berries their deep purple color, and research suggests they support brain health by influencing oxidative stress, inflammation, and blood flow to the brain.

Small daily habits for long-term brain health. 💜

For the girls who are tired of dealing with recurring UTIs. 💜

We talk about gut health, skin health, and hormone health, but urinary tract health deserves a place in our daily wellness routines, too.

Meet TGUARD, our daily urinary tract health supplement made with four thoughtfully selected ingredients:

🫐 Aronia Berry — Rich in antioxidant polyphenols
💜 Cranberry PACs — Studied for their role in bacterial anti-adhesion
✨ D-Mannose — Researched for its interactions with certain urinary bacteria
🍄 Mushroom Beta-Glucans — Support healthy immune function

Four ingredients. One daily scoop. A whole lot of purple.

Because taking care of your urinary tract should be part of your wellness conversation, not just something you think about when you experience that burning sensation.

While the wellness world was focused on açaí and turmeric, we were growing Aronia berries in the Midwest. 🌱

If you haven’t heard of Aronia (also known as chokeberry), here’s why this little purple berry deserves your attention.

Aronia is exceptionally rich in polyphenols, including anthocyanins and proanthocyanidins (PACs), plant compounds that are being studied for their antioxidant activity and roles in healthy aging. 💪

What makes Aronia particularly interesting is its unusually high concentration of these compounds, even compared to many other berries we typically associate with antioxidants.

We’ve been growing these berries on our family farms for over a decade, long before most people knew what they were.

Sometimes the most interesting ingredients aren’t the newest discoveries. They’re the ones we’ve been overlooking. 🫐

Things I wish more women knew about urinary tract health. 💜

Especially if you’re someone who struggles with recurring UTIs.

1️⃣ Recurring UTIs are more common than you think. And experiencing them repeatedly isn’t something you should have to accept. Two UTIs in six months or three in a year is considered recurrent.

2️⃣ Most UTIs are caused by bacteria that attach to the urinary tract. E. coli is responsible for the majority of UTIs, using tiny hair-like structures to attach to cells lining the urinary tract.

3️⃣ Cranberry actually has interesting science behind it. Cranberry contains proanthocyanidins (PACs), which have been studied for their ability to interfere with certain bacterial adhesion mechanisms. Clinical research also suggests cranberry PACs may help reduce recurrent UTIs in some women.

4️⃣ Hormones play a role in urinary tract health. As estrogen declines during perimenopause and menopause, changes in vaginal tissues and the microbiome can increase susceptibility to UTIs.

5️⃣ Urinary wellness deserves attention beyond an active infection. There are proactive ways to support your urinary tract health to decrease the likelihood of recurring discomfort.

That’s why we created TGUARD, a daily urinary tract health supplement combining Aronia berry, cranberry PACs, D-mannose, and mushroom beta-glucans in one easy scoop.

Because women’s urinary health deserves more education, more research, and more attention. 💜

If you’re eating blueberries for brain health, there’s another berry you should know about. 🫐

Meet Aronia, a deeply purple berry that’s naturally rich in polyphenols, particularly anthocyanins.

Anthocyanins are the plant compounds responsible for the beautiful purple, blue, and red pigments in many berries. But what makes them especially interesting is their potential role in brain health.

Research suggests that anthocyanin-rich foods may influence several pathways involved in healthy brain aging, including:

🧠 Oxidative stress: Supporting the body’s natural defenses against cellular damage.
🧠 Neuroinflammation: Interacting with inflammatory signaling pathways involved in brain health.
🧠 Cerebral blood flow: Potentially supporting vascular function, which is essential for delivering oxygen and nutrients to the brain.

Aronia’s rich polyphenol profile makes it an interesting addition to a brain-healthy diet.

It’s not about replacing your blueberries, it’s about diversifying your berries. 💜
