At Caregivers With Pleasure, we know that every person we care for carries a lifetime of stories, love, sacrifice, accomplishments, and wisdom.

They raised families, strengthened communities, opened doors, and created paths for generations to follow.

Sometimes we may never know all the lives they touched, the sacrifices they made, or the difference they made along the way. But we can make sure they know that their lives still matter, their voices still matter, and their stories deserve to be heard.

Forensic Testing (DNA, Hair, & PEth)

🧪 Not all lab tests are created equal in family court.

When a custody case involves allegations of substance abuse or questions of paternity, the type of test used can completely change the trajectory of the case. Relying on basic over-the-counter kits or standard tests won't cut it under a judge's scrutiny.

Here is what you need to know about court-admissible testing:

The PEth Blood Test: Standard urine tests only catch alcohol use for a few days. A PEth (Phosphatidylethanol) blood test is highly sensitive and uncovers chronic or binge drinking patterns over the past 2 to 4 weeks.

Hair & Nail Testing: While urine tracking is short-term, hair follicle tests look back up to 90 days to establish long-term patterns of substance use.

Chain of Custody Matters: An at-home DNA test or drug kit is useless in court. For paternity or substance results to be admissible, a certified third-party professional must collect and document the samples to prevent tampering.

The Bottom Line: A positive or negative result is only as strong as the legal documentation behind it. Working with a lawyer who knows how to order and challenge forensic evidence is critical to protecting your family.

What an incredible day at our Free Kids CPR Class!
Our CPR Super Heroes showed up ready to learn, participate, and gain life-saving skills that could one day help save a friend, family member, or even a stranger. We are so proud of every child who attended and gave their very best effort!
A special thank you to our amazing parents, and supporters who helped make this event such a success. Watching these young heroes learn confidence, courage, and the importance of helping others was truly inspiring.
