👁️ Your BLINK is part of your dry-eye treatment.

Every time you blink, your eyelids help spread tears across your eyes and support the release of oil from the meibomian glands.

But what happens when your blink isn’t working as efficiently as it should?

That’s one reason we look beyond the surface of the eye.

OptiLIFT combines two technologies:

That’s what makes glaucoma so important to understand.

Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases that damage the optic nerve — the structure that carries visual information from your eye to your brain.

In many cases, early glaucoma causes:

❌ No pain
❌ No redness
❌ No obvious blurry vision
❌ No noticeable symptoms at all

Vision loss often begins in the peripheral vision and can happen so gradually that a person doesn’t realize it’s occurring.

And once vision has been lost from glaucoma, we can’t restore it.

Our goal is to identify the disease early and protect the vision you still have.

😩 Do your eyes feel fine in the morning…but exhausted by 5 PM?

Dry eye symptoms often become more noticeable as the day goes on.

One reason is something most of us do all day long:

We stare.

When we’re concentrating on a computer, phone, television or even a book, we tend to blink less frequently — and sometimes our blinks aren’t complete.

Less blinking means your tears have more time to evaporate from the surface of your eyes.

By the end of the day you may notice:

One of the biggest misconceptions we hear is that a cataract is something growing over the eye.

It isn’t.

Behind the colored part of your eye is a naturally clear lens that helps focus light.

As we age, that lens can gradually become cloudy — that clouding is a cataract.

Your tear film is the very first surface that light passes through when it enters your eye. When that tear film is smooth and stable, it helps create a clear image.

But when it becomes unstable, your vision can fluctuate.

Today when I picked up my oldest son from school, he told me, “Mom, the lady who sent us all those books throughout the years went to heaven.”

And somehow, hearing it through the eyes of a child felt like the perfect way to describe Dolly Parton’s legacy. 🤍

Dolly was so much more than an extraordinary singer and songwriter. She was a storyteller, a philanthropist, a champion for children, and a beautiful example of remembering where you came from while making an impact far beyond it.

To millions of children, including my own, she was simply the lady who sent books to their homes—month after month, year after year. Those books became bedtime stories, favorite characters, and little moments shared between parents and children in homes she would never personally visit.

For those of us who call Tennessee home, Dolly has always felt a little bit like ours. From the Smoky Mountains to stages around the world, she carried Tennessee with her and made us proud to share it.

Her music will live on, but so will her kindness, generosity, humor, and the generations of children who grew up with books in their hands because Dolly believed they should have them.
