The TRE Foundation is proud to host Strong Dads, Strong Choices: Dad's Night Out, a Father's Day community event focused on promoting positive father involvement, healthy lifestyles, and substance abuse prevention.

On Wednesday, we had the opportunity to partner with the Department of Health as Monica brought her team and the mobile unit out to provide GYT (Get Yourself Tested) STI testing for our clients.

This collaboration allowed us to connect individuals with important health services while also introducing our Harm Reduction program and the resources available through our agency. Events like this help reduce barriers to care, increase awareness, and provide support to those who may not know where to turn for help.

A big thank you to Monica and the Department of Health for partnering with us. Working together allows us to reach more people and continue building a healthier, stronger community.

This week we had the opportunity to collaborate with Bryana from the Guidance Center and learn more about the Home Visiting Program. As someone who works with moms and dads through our parenting classes, it’s always encouraging to connect with programs that can provide additional support and resources to the families we serve.

Parenting doesn’t come with a handbook, and sometimes families just need a little extra guidance, encouragement, or help finding the right resources. It’s great to know there are programs like Home Visiting available to support parents and help them build strong, healthy families.

I am grateful for the partnerships in our community and for the people who are passionate about helping families succeed. Together, we can make sure parents know they are not alone and that help is available when they need it.

Parents, caregivers, teachers, and school professionals — this is a conversation we can’t afford to avoid.

Kids are growing up in a world where grooming and exploitation often begin online through games, social media, messaging apps, and other platforms. The reality can feel overwhelming, but awareness matters. Prevention matters. Paying attention matters.

I’m honored to be part of this upcoming training hosted by the New Mexico Collaborative Human Trafficking Task Force alongside an incredible panel of professionals working in prevention, investigation, survivor support, and child safety.

This free training is designed to help adults better understand:
• how online grooming happens
• warning signs to look for
• practical ways to help protect children online
• how to respond when something feels “off”
