Hello JK Therapy Fans !

Do not normalize the feelings of anxiety. Let's deal with it so you can have a happier life.

When anxiety is chronic in your life, it becomes the "new normal." You might not even realize you're anxious because you have felt
low-level hum of tension for years.

Once you decrease these negative feelings you will say, " I feel normal again."

You have a choice for a better life. You got this!

All my Best,
Jessica

Hello JK Therapy Fans,

When your anxiety is high, your brain goes offline, and you need to ground yourself. Here are some great techniques to help you......

1. The 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Technique: Acknowledge 5 things you see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you hear, 2 things you can smell, and 1 thing you can taste. This forces your brain to shift from internal "what-ifs" to external reality.

2. Temperature Shock: Splash ice-cold water on your face or hold an ice cube in your hand. The sudden cold triggers the Mammalian Dive Reflex, which naturally slows your heart rate and resets the nervous system.
3. Box Breathing: Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4, exhale for 4, and hold for 4. Focus specifically on making the exhale long and slow, as this activates the parasympathetic nervous system (the "rest and digest" mode).

You got this! One breath at a time.

All my Best,
Jessica

Hello JK Therapy Fans!

What are some types of anxiety? Today, we will focus on social anxiety.

Social Anxiety Disorder: An intense fear of being watched, judged, or embarrassed in social or performance situations. It goes beyond simple shyness; it can lead to avoiding public speaking, meeting new people, or even eating in front of others.

One thinks: "Everyone can see how nervous I am, and they are judging me for it."

This prevents you from living! You do not need to carry this with you forever. Let's overcome this forever!

Best,
Jessica

Hello JK Therapy Fans,

Today we are going to discuss....
Physical Symptoms of Anxiety! If you find yourself having any of these, let's work together so you can be happier!

1. Restlessness: Feeling "keyed up," fidgety, or unable to sit still.

2. Frequent headaches, a tight jaw (clenching), or tension in the shoulders and neck.

3. Gastrointestinal Issues: "Butterflies" in the stomach, nausea, or digestive changes.

4. Sleep Disturbances: Difficulty falling asleep because your brain won't "shut off," or waking up feeling unrefreshed.

The first thing needed to promote change is identifying the issue. The second is having the motivation to change. You got this!

All my best,
Jessica
