Yoga teaches us when to move, but it also teaches us when to pause.

Rest doesnā€™t mean youā€™ve stopped showing up. Sometimes slowing down, taking a breath, and giving yourself space is exactly what the practice is asking of you.

Okay, letā€™s talk about the elephant in the yoga room šŸ˜

Yoga Alliance has shared some pretty major changes planned for 2027ā€”and understandably, yoga teachers + teacher trainees have A LOT of questions. So do we.

But before we panic: your 200HR isnā€™t suddenly disappearing. Your education doesnā€™t become invalid overnight. And Yoga Alliance registration has never been a requirement to teach yoga.

There are also parts of these proposed changes that could be really positive. Training hours alone donā€™t make someone a great teacher, and creating a system that recognizes teaching ability, ethics, safety, experience + continued learning could ultimately strengthen the profession.

Right now, though? Thereā€™s still a lot we donā€™t know.
So our take is pretty simple: stay curious, donā€™t panic + wait for the details.

Keep learning. Keep practicing. Keep teaching. šŸŒ±
