The news has felt incredibly heavy this week. If you’ve been finding it difficult to process the recent headlines surrounding maternal mental health, please take a gentle breath—you aren't alone. 🤍

PPP is a deeply misunderstood condition, and the stigma surrounding it only makes it harder for families to find help.

Remember: You are never alone, and there is absolutely no shame in needing help.

It is incredibly normal to feel hesitant before your first session. 🌿

As we continue our August spotlight series, we are asking our team: "What advice would you give to someone nervous about starting therapy?"

Today, we are so proud to feature Thrive’s Co-founder, Katie Kmiecik, MA, LCPC, PMH-C!

As a co-founder, Katie has helped intentionally build Thrive into a place where you can truly come as you are. When you sit with Katie, you will find a warm, deeply validating space where you never need to have it all figured out before you begin.

As we continue our August spotlight series, we are asking our team: "What is a piece of advice you would give to someone who is nervous about starting therapy?"

Today, we are honored to feature Thrive’s incredible Clinical Director, Stacey O’Connell, MA, LCPC, PMH-C, CBC!

As our Clinical Director, Stacey sets the tone for the deep, compassionate work we do here at Thrive. We know that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, but we want to remind you that there is no "perfect" way to do therapy. When you sit with Stacey, you will find a deeply anchoring, non-judgmental space where your story is handled with the utmost care. You don't have to carry the heavy things alone.

Navigating a complicated pregnancy, a NICU stay, or experiencing a loss is a weight no family should ever have to carry alone. 🤍

In the therapy room, we hold space for the deep emotional toll of these heavy seasons. But we also know that true healing requires a village to step in with tangible, practical care.

That is why our team at Thrive is so deeply honored to be a sponsor for the Colette Louise Tisdahl Foundation’s upcoming Night at the Races this October.

This beautiful organization steps into the gap for families in crisis, providing financial assistance so parents can simply focus on breathing, healing, and being with their babies instead of worrying about mounting bills. We believe profoundly in their mission to ensure no family walks through the dark alone.

It is completely normal if the thought of your first therapy session makes you a little nervous. 🌿

We are continuing our August spotlight series, where we ask our team: "What is a piece of advice you would give to someone who is nervous about starting therapy?"

Today, we are so happy to feature Roksana Zelkowski, MS, MFT!

At Thrive, we want to remind you that therapy is your space. You don't have to perform, you don't have to have it all figured out, and you certainly don't need to know exactly what to say right away. When you sit across from Roksana, you can expect a warm, grounded, and deeply supportive environment where you are allowed to simply breathe and be exactly as you are.

Taking that first step to start therapy requires immense courage. Whether it is your very first time seeking support, or you are starting over with a new clinician, it is completely normal to feel a little anxious before your first session.

To help ease that pressure, throughout the month of August, we will be spotlighting a few of our wonderful clinicians and asking them: "What is a piece of advice you would give to someone who is nervous about starting therapy?"

We are kicking off our series today with Ashley Tabata, MSW, LCSW, PMH-C, CFSW!

At Thrive, we want you to know that the therapy room is a collaborative, judgment-free space. You do not need to have your goals perfectly outlined, and you don't need to know exactly what to say. If you sit across from Ashley, you can expect a warm, supportive environment where you can simply show up exactly as you are.

Are you and your partner stuck in a cycle you can't seem to break? 🌿

Sometimes it is hard to know exactly what kind of support your relationship needs. Weekly therapy is a beautiful tool, but if you are navigating deep betrayal, years of built-up hurt, or the exhaustion of having the same fight over and over, a standard 50-minute session often might leave you feeling raw and unresolved.

Are you just in a rough patch, or do you need a deeper intervention?

To help you gain clarity, we created a free, short, and honest checklist: 5 Signs Your Relationship Needs More Than Weekly Therapy.

This guide is designed to help you and your partner gently name where you are stuck, and figure out whether a Couples Intensive might be the faster, more effective path forward for your healing.
