Taking that first step to start therapy requires immense courage. Whether it is your very first time seeking support, or you are starting over with a new clinician, it is completely normal to feel a little anxious before your first session.
To help ease that pressure, throughout the month of August, we will be spotlighting a few of our wonderful clinicians and asking them: "What is a piece of advice you would give to someone who is nervous about starting therapy?"
We are kicking off our series today with Ashley Tabata, MSW, LCSW, PMH-C, CFSW!
At Thrive, we want you to know that the therapy room is a collaborative, judgment-free space. You do not need to have your goals perfectly outlined, and you don't need to know exactly what to say. If you sit across from Ashley, you can expect a warm, supportive environment where you can simply show up exactly as you are.
