☀️🍦 Soaking up the last sweet days of summer! 🎡🐰

August gave us plenty to celebrate at Spring Gardens Holladay! We celebrated National Senior Citizens Day with a visit from the ice cream truck—because there’s really no better way to celebrate our residents than with a little nostalgia and a frozen treat. 🍦💙

Then we wrapped up the month with one of our favorite traditions: our Annual County Fair! From furry friends and plenty of cuddles to cotton candy, snow cones, treats, laughter, and time together in the sunshine, it was the perfect way to send summer out in style. 🐷🐇🍧🎪

We may be saying goodbye to summer, but we’re taking a whole lot of sweet memories with us into fall. 💛

Summer tastes a little sweeter at Spring Gardens! 🍉🍦

Our residents had so much fun with Heidi Larsen | Recipes & Blog creating a delicious two-ingredient watermelon ice cream using frozen watermelon and heavy cream. It was a refreshing treat, a fun hands-on activity, and the perfect way to cool off together.

We were honored to welcome local artist Al Rounds to Spring Gardens last week for a special watercolor demonstration! 🎨✨

Al is known for capturing beloved landmarks and historic locations throughout Holladay, and we are fortunate to have many of his beautiful paintings displayed throughout our community. Residents enjoyed watching his creative process unfold as he brought a landscape to life while sharing stories, techniques, and examples of his work along the way.

We celebrated Father’s Day in country club style at Spring Gardens! ⛳💚

Residents enjoyed an afternoon of good food, great company, and plenty of fun as we honored the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have made such a lasting impact on the lives of those around them.

Thank you to all the amazing dads in our community—we loved celebrating you!

A few weeks ago, our residents participated in a butterfly release in honor of loved ones who have passed. 🦋💜

Even with a little rain, it was a meaningful event as we watched the butterflies take flight and took a moment to remember those who remain close to our hearts.

Sometimes the most beautiful moments come with a few raindrops. ✨

We’re proud to share that Holladay earned a deficiency-free state survey.⭐

This means state inspectors found zero violations during their unannounced visit — a reflection of consistent care, strong teamwork, and high standards every day.

We’re so proud of our team for the work they do to support residents and families.

This morning, a sweet senior dog was found by one of our servers wandering near Spring Gardens lost, tired, and struggling to see due to cataracts. 💛🐾

Our kitchen and care teams quickly came together to make sure the pup felt safe and comfortable while they searched for the owner—offering water, comfort, and lots of love. One of our residents even brought out some of his own dog food to help. 🥹

In less than two hours, the owners were found and reunited with their beloved dog.

Moments like these remind us exactly what “Where Kindness Counts” means. 💚
