Registered Medical Assistant or Experienced Certified Nurse Aide with Dementia Care Experience
Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan
Schedule: Part-time
Anchor In-Home Care is a faith-based organization seeking a compassionate, dependable professional to support clients and families with dignity, respect, and person-centered care. The ideal candidate is experienced in dementia care and shares our commitment to serving others with compassion.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will provide supportive care and assistance to clients in their homes, with a focus on safety, comfort, and quality of life. They will communicate professionally with clients, families, and care team members while respecting each person’s preferences and independence.
Qualifications
Current Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential or experience as a Certified Nurse Aide (C.N.A.), or both.
Dementia-care certification
Associate degree or bachelor’s degree
Relevant experience providing care or support to older adults or individuals with dementia
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Reliable transportation and ability to work in clients’ homes
A compassionate, respectful approach aligned with a faith-based service environment
Responsibilities
Provide appropriate personal care and daily-living support within the scope of training and credentials
Use dementia-informed approaches to promote safety, comfort, and engagement, experience working with different forms of dementia
Observe and report changes in a client’s condition to the appropriate care team member
Maintain accurate, timely documentation
Communicate respectfully with clients, families, and colleagues
Follow care plans, safety procedures, and organizational policies
