Lakeside Clubhouse was proud to join Clubhouses from across Michigan at the 10th Annual Statewide Employment Celebration at the Michigan Capitol this week.

The event recognizes employers who understand that talent, dedication, and potential can be found in every community and who are willing to open doors for individuals living with mental illness.

This year, Lakeside Clubhouse honored Culver's (581 E 16th Street, Holland, MI)
for being an outstanding employment partner. We also celebrated Melissa, whose success at Culver's highlights the impact that supportive workplaces can have on a person's confidence, growth, and recovery journey.

A special thank you to Nancy DeBoer - State Representative for helping us recognize this important partnership and celebrate the value of employment as a pathway to recovery!

As U.S. Clubhouse Week of Action comes to a close, we are reflecting on the power of community based mental health support and the impact Clubhouses have across the country.

Did you know? Clubhouse participation in the U.S. is estimated to generate more than $682 million in savings each year through reduced hospitalizations, increased employment, and stronger community connection.

This week at Lakeside Clubhouse, we were proud to open our doors, share member stories, and highlight the importance of recovery oriented programs that help people pursue goals related to employment, wellness, purpose, and connection.
