💜 Celebrating World Alzheimer’s Month & World Alzheimer’s Day 💜

September is World Alzheimer’s Month, with September 21 recognized as World Alzheimer’s Day—a time to raise awareness, show support for those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, and recognize the incredible families and caregivers who walk alongside them.

Our Appledorn campus is proud to come together with our sister community, Appledorn North, to support this important cause. We are absolutely thrilled and proud to share that our campus has raised $462 toward Alzheimer’s awareness! 🎉💜

And to every resident, family member, team member, friend, and community supporter who donated—THANK YOU! Every dollar represents compassion, hope, and a commitment to making a difference.

We are so proud of the way our two communities continue to come together, support one another, and make an impact beyond our walls. This is what family looks like. 💜

We’re excited to welcome families to our Family Education Series! This is a wonderful opportunity to learn, connect, ask questions, and gain helpful information while supporting the ones we love. 💙

We hope our residents and families will take advantage of this special opportunity to learn together and stay connected!

As we celebrate Labor Day, we’ll also be taking time to recognize and celebrate our wonderful grandparents! ❤️

We encourage grandchildren to give Grandma or Grandpa a call and, if they’re able, stop in for some special time together — complete with a Root B**r Float! 🥤🍦

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Visit Reminder: For the Root B**r Float celebration, we ask that no more than 2 family members visit per resident so everyone can comfortably enjoy this special time.

September is shaping up to be a month full of connection, celebration, learning, and FUN! 🎉

Celebrating Our New Leadership Team 💙
A heartfelt thank you to our new leadership team for your hard work, dedication, and willingness to go above and beyond for our campus and our residents!
During our Campus Clean-Up Day on August 21st, your teamwork and commitment truly made a difference. From working alongside our team to helping create a clean, welcoming, and beautiful environment, you showed that leadership is about more than a title—it’s about being willing to jump in, work together, and lead by example.
We are so grateful for the time, energy, and heart you are bringing to Appledorn South. Our residents, families, and team members are fortunate to have leaders who care so deeply about making our community the very best it can be.

🎉☀️ What an AMAZING Annual Community Picnic! ☀️🎉

This past Friday, we had such a wonderful time celebrating our Appledorn South community! 💙 We were truly honored to introduce our new leadership team to such an incredible turnout of residents, families, and community members. What a special way to begin this next chapter together!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our residents and families for coming out, joining the fun, and making the day so memorable! 🥰

We’re also so grateful to our Life Enrichment and Culinary teams for their creativity, teamwork, and collaboration in planning the activities and delicious food. 👏🍽️

A special shout-out to Optimal Health for volunteering the frozen snow cone machine 🍧, our fun and energetic karaoke host, PeeWee 🎤, and our amazing balloon artist Jim, talented face painter Kristina and Polar Partol Ice Cream who added even more fun and smiles to the afternoon! 🎈🎨

It was a day filled with laughter, great food, music, creativity, and community spirit. We are so thankful for everyone who helped make it such a success!

🎬 Movie Night at Evergreen Commons! 🎬

We had so much fun joining Evergreen Commons’ at one of their monthly Movie Night this month! Appledorn South was excited to be a sponsor and bring along THREE fabulous raffle baskets! 🎟️✨

Our theme? “Falling Into Fun!” 🍁☕🎃 Each basket was packed with cozy fall goodies, and we loved getting to spread a little extra fun and excitement throughout the evening!

Our Backyard Picnic Mic Drop is happening TOMORROW, and we are getting ready for an evening filled with laughter, music, food, games, and fun! 🎶🍔🍦

💦☀️ Waterpark Day Shenanigans! ☀️💦

Who says you have to be young to enjoy a little summer fun?! Our residents had an absolute blast during Waterpark Day! From getting soaked with water guns to cooling off under the sprinkler and even dipping their feet in the pool, there were smiles, laughter, and plenty of shenanigans all around! 😂💦

It was a day filled with sunshine, friendship, and memories we won’t soon forget. ❤️

Because here at our community, we believe there’s no age limit on having fun! 🌊😎
