We’re still feeling the joy from participating in last week’s Tulip Time Festival Parade!

Our theme, “Behind Every Tulip is Someone Who Helped it Bloom: Celebrating the Lifelong Impact of Older Adults,” honors the incredible contributions older adults make to our community every day.

Just like every tulip needs care, attention, and time to flourish, our lives are shaped and enriched by those who have come before us. Older adults are not just part of our story—they are the foundation of it.

Our float proudly featured residents representing a variety of roles they’ve held throughout their lives—including a seamstress, teacher, pastor, nurse, veteran, and artist—each one a reminder of the skills, passion, and dedication they’ve shared with the world.

We were also honored to have numerous team members walking alongside the float, showing their support and celebrating the residents who continue to inspire us every day.

Resthaven's team pours their hearts into serving our residents every day — and they’ve asked for something simple in return: a refreshed space to rest and recharge.

We launched the Employee Lounge Refresh Project at the Care Center to give our team the welcoming, restorative space they deserve. We’ll update the lounge with new furniture, fresh paint, improved cabinetry, and small appliances to make breaks more restful and meals easier.

Supporting this project directly supports the people who make our mission possible. Donors will be recognized in the refreshed space as a thank‑you for caring for those who care for others.
