For the third year in a row, we’ve partnered with Crane Orchards U-Pick and Corn Maze to purchase thousands of fresh Michigan apples to share with our team members and their families.

Caring for older adults means caring for the whole person — mind, body and spirit.

At Resthaven, we’re so grateful for the work our chaplains do every day to walk alongside residents, listen to their stories, and support them through all that life brings.

That’s why we’re especially proud of Rev. Sean Jarchow and Rev. Tricia Bosma who recently collaborated with chaplains and colleagues from other senior living organizations to develop a new spiritual assessment tool. The goal is simple but meaningful: to help chaplains better understand the spiritual needs of older adults so they can provide more thoughtful, person-centered care.

We’re excited to share that this collaborative work has been published in the Journal of the American Medical Directors Association (JAMDA)!

We’re incredibly proud of Sean and Tricia and grateful for the many people who shared their knowledge and expertise to make this work possible. Their dedication is a wonderful example of how spiritual care can make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults.

Yesterday, our Assisted Living residents spent the morning fishing at the pond at The Farmstead — and what a fun time it was!

We love when team members bring their own talents, passions and hobbies to work. Yesterday, team members from across Resthaven came together to share their love of fishing with our residents — and there were plenty of smiles, laughs and fish along the way!

And this resident and team member? They made quite the fishing team — 12 fish caught! 🎣🐟
