5 things people get wrong about PPE (and the stakes are higher than you think):

1️⃣ "Class 2 and Class 3 are basically the same."
→ Class 3 requires more reflective material. Wrong class on a highway = wrong protection.

2️⃣ "Any nitrile glove protects against fentanyl."
→ Only ASTM D6978-certified gloves are tested for opioid permeation. Standard nitrile is not.

3️⃣ "Level A suits are always the safest choice."
→ Only when you're dealing with unknown v***r hazards. Level C is correct for most liquid splash scenarios.

4️⃣ "My ESD lab coat doesn't need to meet a specific standard."
→ EN 61340-5-1 exists for a reason. Untested ESD garments can fail without warning.

5️⃣ "Safety vests are interchangeable between industries."
→ Type P vests are designed for law enforcement with breakaway features. Type R is for roadway work. They're not the same.
