Our Special Child Health Services team recently attended the annual Holmdel Transition and Wellness Expo at Bell Works, where case managers Yleana and Tashesia connected with families, students, and providers to share information about resources available to children with special healthcare needs.

Attendees learned about Special Child Health Services case management, care coordination, transition planning, financial assistance programs, and the Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund (CICRF), which helps eligible families offset qualifying out-of-pocket medical expenses.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn more about the support available to children and families throughout their healthcare journey.

Congratulations to Silvanna, a valued member of the CFHI team, on graduating from her RN program with honors!

After 13 years as an LPN, she was also selected by her peers to deliver the welcome speech at her pinning ceremony. We’re excited to see what’s ahead as she begins her BSN journey at Rutgers this fall.

CFHI’s Essex Doula Program was highlighted in the Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey’s 2025 Impact Report!

Through this work, our doulas are reducing birth complications, improving maternal mental health, and supporting families through pregnancy and beyond.

It’s encouraging to be part of a broader effort to close gaps in perinatal care across Essex County.
