VETERAN’S DAY: I was never in the Armed Service, but some of the most rewarding times in my career were spent taking care of our Veterans at VA Outpatient clinics in Newark and East Orange. I salute our Veterans and their sacrifices.
One time I was doing a minor procedure on a Korean Vet; had to give him a local Novocain and take off his infected toenail. He said to me, “I had this done in Korea”. Me being a stupid young doc, said, “Oh, a MASH unit?” (MASH the TV show was based on these Mobile Army Surgical Hospitals). He looked at me and said, “No I was a POW, they put Bamboo shoots under all my nails, no Novocain, to try and make me talk…I didn’t”. God Bless him!

Just a brief note to spread the good news that I am back!👣
Yes, there was a long illness with complications,
but after Rehab and a few rounds of Golf, ⛳️
I am ready, willing, and able to return to the office to see patients.

Great location on Doctors Row in desirable Monmouth County, directly across from Bayshore Medical Center.

Cold weather causes aches and pains, especially in the feet. It tends to dry out skin and nails, making them more vulnerable to injury and infection. The cold also has an effect on circulation, especially Diabetics. Not only “Arthritic People” but the cold can cause “Healthy People” to get stiff which can lead to painful Tendonitis.

It was 40 years ago today (and almost 40 pounds ago) that I received my degree as Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine (now Temple University).
