🪷 Some views from my practice this past week.
I had the pleasure of getting away again, this time up to the Adirondack mountains. Always magical up there. Always so amazingly beautiful.
Every morning, I grab my mat and head out into the chilly mountain air. We are usually up there in October, but due to the house we rent not being available then, my family packed up and headed there in August. What a treat to see a different landscape.
My mat landed in the boathouse, under the tall ancient pines and on the shore of another lake where I took a beautiful class led by Wild Rose Ayurveda & Yoga
The rest of my practice led me on a solo kayaking adventure up a quiet river. No other humans around, just me and the wild around me. I can’t remember the last time I’ve been so present.
Then a hike through the forest where I gazed adoringly at little tiny bright orange mushrooms and views so beautiful they hardly seem real.
I am so grateful for the privilege to be able to experience this beauty. To remember my wildness. To pause as I feel like I’ve been running a race. To connect to my family under one roof. To eat good food, play games, gaze at the flames of a cozy fire, watch my son bask in the love of his Grandparents and Uncle and to feel my own freedom.
Blessed 💗
