A simple fall can lead to fractures that may take a long time to heal—but the good news is, many falls are preventable!

Here are a few simple steps we encourage every day to help keep our residents safe:

✅ Use handrails and mobility aids when needed 🤲

Another outing for our residents to the bookstore! Not only can they get out and enjoy some movement and fresh air, but a trip like this challenges their minds by using analytical skills to browse books for sale and read the synopsis to find out what they are about. Additionally, this helps them use their short-term memory to compare books and make a final buying decision. It's easy to get wrapped up in something like this, but we had a lot of fun together!
