I want to share how proud I am of my beautiful daughter, Peyton. This summer she worked and volunteered her time at the Hoku Rising program where she worked on her leadership skills, learned how to write a resume and practiced her saving, spending and giving skills. She got to experience the true meaning of work hard, play hard. She committed to this program for the summer and because of her hard work she earned an award in leadership at the 2026 Growing Ohana Gala. Time sure flies and I know I do not say it enough so I want to put it on record I am so proud of the person Peyton is blossoming into. She is resilient, coachable, strong, kind, loving, and of course beautiful inside and out. Congratulations and keep risking and growing! I believe in you!!! Always shoot for excellence and keep dusting yourself off till you figure it out. Remember it’s about the journey AND the outcome.

PLEASE HELP US FIND MY AUNTY YVONNE

I’m asking for your help because our family is heartbroken.

The last time I saw my Aunty Yvonne was during the pandemic while she was living at Arcadia. After that, we lost contact with her.

For years, we searched for her.

In May, we finally found her at Caring Manoa. We were so relieved and thought we would finally be able to see her again. Instead, we were told that our family could not visit.

We hired an attorney and formally requested visitation. Before we were ever able to see her, we were told she had been moved out of the care home.

Since then, despite our efforts, we still have not been able to see her.

Aunty Yvonne turned 99 years old on August 3.

She can barely walk and needs around-the-clock care. Every day that passes is another day we lose with her. We don’t know how much time we have left, and all we want is to hug her, celebrate her birthday, tell her we love her, and let her know that we never stopped looking for her.

We have contacted law enforcement, Adult Protective Services, attorneys, and the media. We are continuing to look for answers, but we need your help too.

If you have seen Aunty Yvonne, know where she is, or have any information that could help our family see her, please message me privately.

Even if you don’t have information, please share this post. One share could reach the person who knows something. One share could help reunite our family.

If you’ve ever gone through something similar with an elderly loved one, I’d also love to hear from you. No family should have to experience this.
