I sat with my mother until her last breath thirteen years ago.

I gave her Reiki, I held her hands, rubbed her hands and feet to prepare the transition of her body and her spirit to the other side.

And I left with a realization and regret I carried for years.

I hadn’t hugged her. I hadn’t kissed her goodbye. I was in shock that she was no longer here on the physical realm.

It took a sacred practice called a Proxy Body Ritual, learned through my Sacred Deathcare Guide training, to finally release it.

Discomfort is not a sign that something is wrong. It is a sign that something is shifting.

Understanding the chakras is one thing. Working with them is another.

Inside The Portal we work with powerful healing modalities that meet you where you are. The goal is always the same.

You, restored. You, clear. You, trusting yourself again.

And you get to choose what resonates with you. Because you are the one who knows your own body, your own energy, your own inner landscape.

What I have found after years of guiding women through this work is that the modality matters less than the consistency.

Did you know......

The word chakra comes from the Sanskrit word meaning wheel?

And that is exactly what they are. Subtle energy centers in the body that spin, that pulse, that move. Like swirling vortexes of energy that are always, always doing something.

They are not an abstract concept. They are a living part of you.

We are made of energy. At the most fundamental level, everything that makes up the human body is energy vibrating at different frequencies.

The chakras are part of that energy field, and is part of our auric field, the luminous body that surrounds and interpenetrates the physical body.

Each chakra vibrates at a different frequency. Each one corresponds to a different color of the spectrum. Each one governs a different dimension of your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual life.

When a chakra takes in too much energy or not enough, that imbalance does not stay in the energy field. It moves. It affects your health, your emotions, your relationships, your clarity, your sense of self.

This is why keeping the chakras clean and balanced is not a luxury. It is care for your whole being.

Physical. Mental. Emotional. Spiritual.

All four levels. All at once.

I want to share something that has settled in me during this pause......

I spent years teaching women to listen to their intuition and their bodies. To trust what the energy centers are saying. To stop overriding the quiet knowing.

And then my own body had to get very loud before I truly heard it for myself.

There is no shame in that. In the past I would experience extreme shame.

But I know now there is a lesson.

The pause has shown me that the work I teach is not separate from the life I live.

The Portal isn’t something I offer and then set down. It is the ground I walk on very intentionally.

And walking through my own version of it these past weeks, through rest, fear, love and gratitude and the very real tenderness of a healing heart, this has deepened something in me that I cannot wait to bring to you.

The Portal is coming back. And it is going to be more real than it has ever been.

Because I just lived it. 💖

A fractured neck taught me this:
Healing doesn’t happen alone.
