For Tom Horton, this journey begins with his mother.

This October, Tom will paddle through the Greek Islands in honor of his late mother, whose Greek heritage gave him a lifelong connection to the country, its culture and its people.

Joined by a small group of family members and friends, the miles traveled will carry another purpose.

A longtime supporter of the ALS Network, Tom is dedicating his expedition to people and families impacted by ALS, helping connect ALS communities in the United States and Greece.

Together with the ALS FIND A CURE NOW - Hellenic ALS Association we are turning a journey of remembrance into an opportunity for awareness, connection and hope.
